What do you say when someone you love loses a child to miscarriage?
Lindsay lost her second child, Ethan, to miscarriage in 2012. In remembrance of Ethan during this Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, she shares her experience of a friend reaching out with words that brought comfort. Honoring the dignity of the life of the child and acknowledging the reality of the parents’ loss shows a respect for life that is often missing in people’s attempts to console, but these can make all the difference for a grieving parent (or grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, etc.)
